WHO WE CAN HELP
- Employees fired from work because of a disability, medical condition, pregnancy, age, gender, sex, religion, race, or other protected characteristic.
- Employees fired from work for requesting or taking family medical leave, pregnancy leave, baby bonding leave, or any other job protected leave of absence from work.
- Employees fired from work for requesting or needing a reasonable accommodation for a disability or medical condition, pregnancy, or religious beliefs.
- Employees fired from work for complaining about violations of the law, refusing to participate in illegal activities, or engaging in other whistleblowing activities.

- Employees fired from work for reporting unsafe conditions.
- Employees who are victims of sexual abuse or sexual harassment.
- Employees who are victims of workplace harassment due to a disability, medical condition, pregnancy, age, gender, religion, race, or other protected characteristic.
- Employees who are denied wages, commissions, overtime pay, retaliated against for asserting wage claims, or suffer any other violation of wage and hour laws.
- Employers facing claims, demand, or lawsuits by employees.
- Employers facing administrative claims before the California Labor Commissioner.
- Employers seeking to hire an attorney to provide advice and counseling in matters involving employment law.
WHO WE CANNOT HELP
- Employees who are currently employed, and have no desire to pursue litigation against their employer.
- Example: employee seeks help in navigating routine workplace interactions with coworkers, supervisors, or human resources.
- Example: employee does not suffer any adverse employment action but want to know his or her rights.
- Employees who suffer harassment in the workplace not because of any protected characteristic of the employee.
- Example: employee is in a hostile work environment, but the hostility has no connection to the employee’s disability, medical condition, pregnancy, age, gender, sex, religion, race, or other protected characteristic.
- Employees who need help with unemployment insurance, disability insurance, or other government benefits.
- Employees who have already waived the rights they wish to pursue.
- Example: employee signed a severance agreement.
- People who want to pursue claims unrelated to the employment relationship.
- Example: people who suffer harassment or discrimination at some place where they do not work (e.g. store, restaurant, etc..)
- Employers who have legal questions but no desire or intention to hire an attorney.
- Employers who need help with audits or investigations by regulatory or administrative agencies.
- Employers facing class action litigation.
- Employees or employers who are parties to pending lawsuits with less than six months before trial.
